These are people usually described as sensible — that is, rational, impersonal, logical, and decisive in practical matters, with little distance between word and deed. Interpersonal skills such as tact or empathy are not among their strongest points. They tend to be unaware of the impact their decisions and actions have on others. They value tradition and honor long-established institutions such as the church, the monarchy, or the family. Whether at work or at home, they tend to be rather quiet and serious, patient and reliable. Given the choice, they would happily subordinate human resources to their systems and partners as well, since people keep slipping out of their control and bringing disorder into it. Men of this type would generally prefer that women not have to work and instead take care of the children and the home. Men of this type tend more often toward a patriarchal disposition; as subordinates they accept authority readily, and as superiors they cannot stand being contradicted, setting clear rules of behavior for both subordinates and children and demanding that they be followed. They like neatness, tidiness, moderation, orderliness, and functionality. In crisis situations they manage to keep a cool head, which makes them good workers in management positions. In their careers they tend to be destined for advancement, approach reality without prejudice, decide quickly, and are usually right in their actions. Women of this type sometimes have some trouble with their sense of feminine identity. They are the kind of bosses who arrive first and leave last. They find it hard to go and consult with a subordinate or colleague, and they don't care much for teamwork or collaborative activities. Unfamiliar things and an uncertain future can be a source of stress for them. Their ability to see things through to completion, finish on time, and do so with minimal cost is their best recommendation for leadership and positions of responsibility.
