They use introverted thinking, while most of their actions are driven by extraverted intuition. They prefer the practical, task-oriented side of things over the human side. This doesn't mean they're socially inept, though. They're capable of managing social relationships and being well-liked, but it takes more effort for them. Their constant attention to new things and possibilities makes them good at innovation and at the ability to combine seemingly very different systems. They delight in complexity and intricate relationships. They get excited easily, but their enthusiasm tends to be fleeting. They're often called "all talk," because after a while they move on to something else that interests them more. What they tolerate worst is doing things "the way they're supposed to be done." In every repetition, they want something new. ENTPs believe that with their improvisational abilities they can handle any situation. They maintain a stable circle of friends and are interested in their opinions. They're rarely nitpicky or overly critical and can be quite generous. When in a bad mood, they can be willful and stubborn, though usually just a little effort to show understanding is enough to bring them out of it. Doors to advancement are usually open to them, which sometimes creates problems for women. The reason is that their behavior doesn't always match the stereotypical expectations of how a "proper" woman should act. Intellectual passion, impatience, and creative spark are not typically what wins women the favor of their colleagues. Men can play around with ideas, but also critically evaluate them (and themselves). They have a sense for the future. Their visionary thinking can lead to market or product innovations. They enjoy learning new things. Their weaker side is short, superficial preparation and little attention to facts and details. ENTPs tend toward boredom once the key questions have been resolved, and they need to watch out for miscalculating their own judgment, since they're drawn to novelty. A second danger lies in their not-fully-developed, introverted feeling function. On the one hand, they're known for relying more on the head than the heart, but on the other hand they can come across as fickle and moody. A third danger is a somewhat compulsive creativity, which pushes them to present their ideas to often the wrong people, or at the wrong moment — it's difficult for them to wait and time things properly.
